we did this on the Yellow and lime cuda, a pillar and the cowl along the dash edge also. the color will peak out.

Some of the cars got blacked out there.  I'm not sure exactly which ones. My car originally didn't but the windshield sealer was put on so thick and sloppy, it covered the area.  Now that the new windshield was put in a lot cleaner, you can see body color where you shouldn't.

some installers when they  put the black primer on the glass, they will mask inward enough to cover the painted area, from the outside of the glass it looks like it was supose to be there.

I always "black-out" that area as well as the area along the sides of the dash/A pillar area.
Here's a 70 440+6 Cuda I did. You can see the black paint I added with a brush.

You can see the orange peeking out along the side of the dash on the original poster's car....That drives me nuts !

I will be going over all of them areas this weekend to cover them up. Just wanted to get all the trim in place to see what I needed to paint for sure.

They have not confirmed a ship date from the manufacturer, so at least 45 days. But i would say more like 90 days

These are pictures I saved for reference - they are from a Challenger T/A - which might help in blacking out the A-pillars.







If anyone knows the owner, i'd like to give proper credit. These days I add a summary to my pictures properties so that at a glance I can tell where I first found them; date, which forum, thread and other relevant information. I'm not sure but Troy in California within a Moparts thread comes to mind in this instance.

Couple more pictures of this week end progress.

I found out the e-bodies are not a really comfy car from the drivers position. Can't believe they designed the steering wheel and seat placement so bad, got my kness wrapped up around the steering wheel trying to sit in it. So going to have to do something to try and make it better, or let the wife drive all the time I guess, she fits a little better then I do.......

Exaust is coming this week. Might have decals and windshield put on this week also.

You probably have some money tied up in that steering wheel, it looks good, but I found that a tuff wheel being a little smaller makes a lot of difference in the leg room and also drives better to me.

Yea I think I am going to pick up a cheaper repop tuff wheel to try it out and see what I think. Hang the other on the wall I guess

I'd get a PGCLassics/BEA leather tuff wheel, get an adapter from Dale's Cuda shop, and put a rim blow cap on it.  I think that looks awesome.
