71 Cuda intermediate wiper
« on: September 04, 2012 - 08:46:12 PM »
Hi, I need help! I have a 71 Cuda with variable speed or 3 speed wiper system. I removed the dash to replace my faulty tach and when put all back together realized that my wipers are on all the time and didn't stop! So, I found  another variable switch and replace it... still doing it, so I sent my wiper motor to be rebuilt, and intalled it back.... it still doing it, does not stop! The back of the switch has 2 plug-ins and you can't plug it wrong, so can somebody tell me if they have a clue! Thanks Marc. email: mlaplante@417busline.com

are all 4 screws in the switch panel ? is the panel grounded ? Possibly you have a 2 spd switch with a 3 speed motor. When it is switched off only the blue wire at the wiper motor should remain powered to park the wipers , there is a switch in the motor to shut it off
