Owner wants info on that wrecked 71 Sassy grass cuda vert.
« on: September 07, 2012 - 03:58:24 PM »
Wanted any info on this 1971 cuda 340 convertible that we purchased out of Eds Junkyard in Lancaster NY. The car was a real 340 71 cuda convertible sassy grass green with black factory billboard and auto on the column. It was said to have been wrecked early on in life. I thought it would be neat to hear from people that have any history on this car or know the original owner. I love to hear how it was wrecked back in the day and find out any info on it. Also maybe some of you may have taken pics of it in the junkyard when it was first put in there or have picked parts off it. Any one that know any thing about would love to hear your stories.
Thanks Ryan

Seriously.

Let's say you have an unlimited budget. How can that be saved?

Finding the history on a car is so cool.  I wrote a bunch of letters of the past few years to names and addresses that I could find for previous owners of my cars.   Not much luck but I keep trying.  Then about a week after sending some letters out for the new Hemi GTX project I get a call from the second owner (1975 to 1979) and he's a blast to talk to.  Gave me a bunch of neat stories about the car and it's history.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Even with an unlimited budget, why would you want to?
For a lot less money you could go find yourself a 71 340 cuda vert that actually runs.
Besides, it appears to be missing large and important sections of the car, and those parts of the frame it does have are probably so bent and twisted they could not be safely straightened.  :dunno: :clueless:

Yeah, I agree, would be cool to hear the history of this car.

I wonder how much he bought everything for?  :clueless:

Kinda funny but sad at the same time that the whole thing fit in the back of a pickup truck...

Im guessing it rolled over quite a few times when it wrecked, and the car was then cut in half at the yard for ease of storage?

I wish there were better pictures of the back half of the car.
Would love to see more of the metal pile.

Only a few mopars would be worth tons of cash in this shape.  Gotta love this hobby.

I would love to have that for yard art.  My neighbors would hate it.

Set it right next to a vintage wrecked superbird and that car would shine!
