Geeze, you see the top of passenger rear quarter?  Look at the lip on top!  Smooshed!

I contacted them and here is an email I got back:

"Hi Phil,

We heard about this car when I purchased a charger out of the upstate ny area and heard it was sitting a local junkyard. So when my brother and I got home from the road trip we called every local junkyard around that area and we found it. We then made a road trip up to upstate NY from Maine to look at it and we picked it up for $1500.00 just for garage art. When people that walk into the garage that actually know the rareity of this car they cant believe there eyes. The car actually had some parts we needed for another convertible project, like wheel caps and braces, rocker inner supports.

Rummor was the car was wrecked early on in life and place in this junkyard in NY and that where it's sat since we picked it up about 3 years ago. The car was really restorable when it was first placed in the yard but it took it's toll in the yard getting tossed around the yard though out the years.

Are you local of the Buffalo area? If so dig around and see what you can find out.

Thanks Ryan"

If he got some parts off it, then it might have been worth it.  Vert parts are pricey...especially if you bought it long enough ago as fewer repops would have been available.
