How to save messages page so I can erase messages on board
« on: September 08, 2012 - 06:24:13 PM »
Can someone direct me as to how to save my full messages pages so that I can still reference them in the future.
I need to get rid of my messages here on the site as I am 98% full and I have to keep erasing each message.

My quick method is to click in the message body, copy the message, and paste it into word to save.

But that does not save avatars, pictures, etc.

I did this once several years back and have not figured out how to do it again.

Try using File-Save Page

You could save them as a PDF.  Although the pictures won't be portable.  You could still take a snapshot of them and drop them into work or powerpoint if you needed them later.

I use CutePDF Writer (http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp) which is freeware. :dunno:

Ok, so I saved them with the pdf files.  In my pictures.  The pdf cut off the right sides of the pictures.

Next I used the save page as tab under my file tab on top left.
Then I kept the pages in my pictures under a mopar folder.

This seemed to work.  It did not cut off any information.

If you are using IE try going to save as, then select "Web archive, single file *.mht file". That saves everything (pictures, text) in to a single file.

When I used Firefox I could never find an equivalent.
