So the current Challenger SRT8 would be the new Challenger Barracuda?  Talk about confusing!  :faint:  Why would they do that!!!!!  No good.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

My Brother said there was a picture of the new Barracuda design in Car and driver magazine and that Mopar said that that was the body style they were gonna go with a 6cyl and a Hemi option. I have not seen the mag or the pic yet but it is a new design with a rounded back-end Not retro. I am still skeptical believe it when I see it.

Ultimately, that piece is from "autoblog" and they do not cite any particular documents, or source, by name, within Dodge, nor any sort of pre relase design work on such an animal. In court they would call that hear-say and make it inadmissable.

I still think of it as a ratings type of hype that writers will delve in to from time to time and will believe it with some pre-release photos or pre produciton testing documentation.

I have a feeling, and I'm far from the first person to say this, that the Dodge brand itself may go away.

I do read Motor Trend, but don't take everything as Gospel. I remember an article vividly where they said no 6-cylinder New Challengers because they couldn't make them cheap enough to compete with the 6-cylinder Mustang. We know how that turned out.   :2cents:

If that autoblog article is right, replacing the SRT8 with the Cuda, it's going to put the Cuda out of reach of the common guy who only wants to spend $25-$30k for sporty car.  And no, the Dart won't cut it.

If they do this, IMO they are fudging it up already before the birth of the Cuda...

I think they were just fortunate the 4 door Charger fiasco ended up ok for Dodge...this , I dunno.  They need to get their heads out of their behinds and listen to what the public wants...  :2cents:

With sadness, I have to disagree. A lightweight, high performing V8 retro Cuda is what we, the c-c members want. Most of the buying public couldn't care less, though. They will think of a little tin box Cuda as a car with a great name, never realizing what it might have been.

I would have to agree.......Though I really would like to see a modern retro cuda...

Most people don't even know the name of our e-bodies anymore. People used to say nice Charger. Now they say 'nice car, what is it?'
