Radio wires cut? Here's a solution I wanna share:

So your factory radio wires are cut off short? Frayed & soldered wrong? Don't pass up that swap meet AM cause its wires are short, so here is an idea I wanna share to my Mopar friends out there: I have a 71 AMFM out of a Charger. It has the 3 wires for the speakers: Black-Purple-Green. They are cut short, so whats make them look better? Original colored wires of course. This is what I use & its has NEVER given me an issue: Do you have a parts car around? Or is that 72 Monaco at your local junkyard have a dash harness in it? Go out & remove the drivers side kick panel. Locate the connector block on the main harness to that rear tail harness. If you can, remove that junction block towards you & cut off the wires about 2-3 feet towards the back of the car, then go into the dash harness & do the same on that end, cut about 2-3 feet if you can. In this juction block you have in front of you leave connected. You have a Purple, Green & Black wire now. I meause what you need on your radio & cut off & solder those to your radio leaving the connectors alone.Remove the wires from the junction block & look over that harness in the car for any 3 wire connector, like around the heater control or somewhere. If you are framilar with this, you know what to look for. Useing the dash end of the wires you cut place them on your radio wires. Done. If your DASH speaker wires have this plug cut off, use the rear tail harness part to repair your wires!

If your AM has wires cut, you have 2 wires to the speaker, just locate wires on that harness that are the same color & you should be good too.

Or if you just wire any wire to your thats ok too. Just wanna tell anyone out there to do so. I did this to my 71 Charger AM/FM & its looks good enough. Pluged it in & it plays no issues! If you want, I can e-mail pictures of what I did to you, so I hope this helps you out.
