never say never , a larger squirter allows more fuel in fast but the duration of the squirt is lessened which can cause it to stumble as the secondary opens & the volume is the same either way .
If you look down the throat of the carb you will see 8 small brass inserts 2 by each booster , on Proforms , Quickfuel & Holley HP these can be unthreaded & changed , on most carbs they cannot , the outer bleeds are for the idle mix , the inner are for the jet circuit often with low vacuum the engine will not run well , inserting a thin piece of wire such as .028 mig welding wire into the jet circuit bleeds can make a big difference in the way a car runs , & usually form the wire into a U shape & trap the wire behind the squirter so it will not fall out .
