I am with you, i went to both chicago events and the st louis one last year. Hard to beat the feeling of those top fuel cars. Escpescialy in the pits when they set the clutch . 8000 hp is hard to beat  :worship:.

Going to any dragstrip on weekends is like going to a moving car show you have everything from pristine show cars to hotrodded junkyard cars. It's sweet you can bring a car a run it or spend time in the pits checking out all the cars.
NASCAR to me is fun but your seeing almost the same car just in different paint going left

NHRA all the way. At least they have balls enough to call a strange looking race car a 'Funny Car' as opposed to NASCAR's so called 'Stock' cars! :bs:

to do it to you  :pissed:

well, I have to admit that altho I really like drag racing, as opposed to oval-track, but it's not as fun as it used to be.  back in the day, there were Motown Missile, Sox & Martin, and a host of other really cool classic Mopars (that weren't "classic" at the time) but now, NHRA cars are just one-piece plastic shells, laid atop a tubular frame, and a jet engine.  Sure, there is still the challenge of being the first 3-second 1/4 mile car, but where's the love???

I'd much rather watch 11-second Muscle cars, than a 6-second 10,000HP nitro-burnin' funny car

That's just my opinion, and you're entitled to it
