Lets admitt the only reason anyone watches nascar is for the accidents. I can watch for about 1/2 hour then i get bored and loose intrest.

yeah, we have 2 local Dragways that are quite well known nationally, and once or twice a year they host the Funny Cars, but I just don't find them entertaining.  Altho, I will agree with the 'crach theory'.

Here's a link to one of our 'locals'

Chall72. you have to be the first person that i have ever talked to who has seen them in person that was not very impressed with them. If those monster being unleased doesnt do i dont know what would..

I was looking at you link, very cool place. Would be nice to have a local track that entertains promods and top alcohol on a regular basis. I didnt see anything on the schedule for top fuel this year :dontknow:

With the baby on the way, I haven't really looked too hard at the sched's this year.  We also have Ottodrome International Speedway nearby, and they do circle-track racing on Wednesday nights, and drag racing/cruise nights on the weekends.

There is a Cruise Night literally EVERY night in this town from May to September, and hundreds of one-off car/bike shows.  Check out this link..it'll blow your mind!

http://www.ncf.ca/~ab603/page1.htm

With the exception of mentioning bigger shows like Carlisle, pretty much everything listed is within 30 minutes of Ottawa.  this is a BIG town for cars!

And for anybody in Eastern Ontario/Western Quebec, Northern NY

Renfrew Chrysler Mopar Show / 2005
Mopars only car show for cancer. It will be on Saturday May 28 at the Dealership from 10 am till 3 pm.
Any year of Mopar, Jeep or AMC vehicle is welcome to attend,
entry fee will be $5.00 per vehicle, the first 50 cars will receive a dash plaque

Nascar has it's merits, but nothing is worse than a race constantly run under the caution flag. Hey, that's as much fun as looking out the window and watching the grass grow.  :ack:

I watch all kinds of racing from Supercross to rally cars to NHRA and Nascar.I prefer drag racing above any other form but I also go to Nascar races at NHIS.Unfortunatly the closest NHRA national event is Englishtown and I have never made the treck to see it,maybe one of these years.Actually the most fun is drag racing my Barracuda, nothing beats being in the drivers seat going for a win!
