Correct.....you need an 18 spline disk for the new unit.

On the moparts thread, Jamie said he would re-hub 23-spline clutches to fit the 18-spline shaft.

The same thread says that the shift mechanism & linkage will be different, but it will re/use the stock shifter handle(s).
mmmmm.... Mopar.... *drool*

I could see the stock shift handle being able to be re-used....

I am ssoooooo close. Have my Passon 4spd OD sold pending me getting a 5 speed. Will be getting through one of Jaimie's distributors who is in Vancouver BC as he put me on to the buyer of my 4speed. Bit more money but got to honor his help for me. So as soon as I get a date then out she comes and in goes the 5 spd as I need that 3rd gear for town driving - only reason to change as the 4speed is marvelous and still tight after 3000 miles.

I am not much of a picture guy but the forum will get these.

Passon has mentioned several times about accepting trade-ins? I have a 68 b-body a833 4 speed, and would love to trade for that new 5 speed, but no way I can pay near $4300. Anyone know what my tranny might be worth? Ive heard numbers of $200 to $500, but that seems low to me.
I would imagine I am not the only one who would want or need to sell an 833 4 speed to upgrade. Highway cruising is just NOT enjoyable at 4000 rpm.  :horse:

Tommyg, why don,t you buy the 4speed od from Passon. I am only changing to the 5 spd because my car is not very drive able in the cities otherwise the 4 spd is perfect so 3rd gear is what I need for that

My ratios are so close I usually shift straight from 1st to 3rd, and then almost immediately to 4th by the time I hit 35 or 40 mph or so, and then...I often find myself trying to shift up again into my imaginary 5th before I catch myself!!
If the 4 speed OD was a DIRECT fit and a LOT cheaper than $4300 I would consider it.

Well out with the "old" Passon 4 speed and waiting for the 5 speed. Sold this unit as it only has 3000miles on it. Going behind a 472 Hemi Cuda. For those that are balking at the price of the 5 speed I highly recommend you look at the Pason 4 speed. The gear spread is pretty good and one helluva strong unit.

No, the $4300 is for the trans, shifter mechanism and linkage only I believe.  You'll have to go to someone like Brewers for the pedals, hump, clutch linkage, etc.

So ...... Talked to Jaimie last week and he informed me that his machine shop is actually starting the final parts that are the reverse to 5th interlock. So all going well Barry will be installing the 5 speed over Xmas along with adjustable strut rods and a new stage 3 box from FF.
