Vintage air wiring - Advice needed
« on: September 14, 2012 - 10:11:28 PM »
Hey guys:I

I'm on the last part of my vintage air install on my 74 Cuda. Just wanted to get a couple expert opinions on how to wire the last two the wires.

A) The first wire is supposed to go the head light switch, would there be a certain post on the back of the switch I would hook it up to?

B) The second wire hooks up to the run position on the steering column. I'm not sure where to hook this wire up? any suggestions?

P.S. any pictures would be great!

Thanks,

Mike

About your ''A'' question, we need more info. What does your instructions say about that wire? Is is just to illuminate your AC-control unit?  If so, you should find some orange wires underneath the dash that you can hook up your wire to, but, again, let us know what your instructions say.  About your ''B'' question, I wouldn't strip a wire from the steering column. My first choice would be to hook up to the fuse box. I'll see if I can take a picture where to hook it up.

I agree ,  connect the power wire to the rear of the fuse block with a jumper connector , don't cut into the wiring at the column .
