I'm in love with this car. Big inspiration for my own (71 with AAR gear), though mine is a street car and no kind of workhorse.

I'm pretty sure I've seen him comment here, but not with any regularity as far as I've noticed.

I know Jess and have actually been on the track with that car and have ridden in it too,

it was a 318 3 speed car ,and as you can tell it is no longer stock, it does however retain the stock style torsion bars, a mono leaf rear 4:56 gears, but uses a rack and pinon steering, pretty sure he is running a factory 4 speed ,engine info top secret................

since it is for vintage racing certain  things have to remain  factory appearing ,not sure what rules they have but his car fits the class very well ,just a killer of a car

Thanks for the tips I am going to search out any info and youtubes I can on this car.  It is very inspiring to see one being used as a race car.  Reminds me of the vintage Mustangs they modify and fly at Reno!

Hey Josh,

I just replied and cleaned some out.  You can always get me at  "Ian at Iaguitars dot com" if that doesn't work.

Very cool!  I got my first taste of racing back in the late 70's in my dad's 71' vert at SOLO 1 hillclime events at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Ill.  It was a rediculously slow bone stock 318 with a torqueflight but that didn't matter I had a blast.
