1971 Factory Power Sunroof Challenger
« on: September 15, 2012 - 04:25:11 AM »
Going to give this one last try....

I have a 1971 Dodge Challenger that is a special order car it is fully loaded and here is a list of just a few of the options:

Factory power sunroof ( only 21 Challengers made with this option )
Wide hood and fender chrome ( rare 1971 option only )
Power windows
Air conditioning
Sixway seat adjuster
AM/FM with Cassette on the console
Three speaker dash
Power steering
Power brakes
Tinted glass and the list goes on
It has a 383 engine with a 727 auto trans.

I would like to sell or trade this car for a different 71 Challenger and the reason being is that I want to change way to many things on this car and with it being so rare I should be building a different car. So I am looking for a 1971 or 1970 Challenger project car or driver but not a restored car to take as partial trade or good old cash and will find a different Challenger myself. I would prefer a 1971 over a 1970.

This Challenger is not a running driving car as the drive train is out of the car right now.  But could set engine and trans back in car for transport. Not numbers matching.

Would trade straight across for right car or cars...will consider more than one car if cash is a problem.

So stop working on your 1971 Challenger project and give me a call.

Cash price for the car is 21,000.00 is appraised for 37,000.00 and comes with lots of new parts.

Let me be the first to say that is one sweeet car!

Good luck with the sale.  A rare find for sure.

Does the sunroof assembly work?

Thanks.

And no Im not sure if the top works as I have never tried it.

I was sure that someone out there would have a 1971 Challenger project they were working on or going to work on that would want a far more rare car to replace it with. But there seems to be no one? I would even take a project and parts to make up any difference in price.  Or two cars if need be if cash was a problem. The only request I have is that if someone did get this car that they restore it back to stock.

I would also take a 1971 Barracuda, Cuda, Road Runner, GTX or even a 1964 to 1970 A100 truck as partial trade.

What do you want to do that is so drastic that you don't want to use this car?

It would be a cool car to drive.  :burnout:

I want to change interior and exterior color and engine size. I know engine size and interior color could be changed back, just bolt on parts but the repaint is the big one. The car is in Alberta Canada

What magazine was that?  It sounds like you have the figure for 70 R/T sunroof cars.  I am not at home where I have my books.

Can someone fill me in as to what F19 is?

From what I know when it was painted in the 80s the top was taken off. And I think the F19 is a factory mistake it's on the build sheet to.
