A couple of things to mention 1st that car is not restored it was painted 3 years ago, and there were approximately 114 sunroof cars made in 1970 and only 21 in 1971. That car has already been on ebay before and reached 25000.00 but didn't reach the reserve. So it didn't sell, so hes just like me I'm not giving my car away because someone thinks its not worth that much, its a rare car and I know that. Not often you come across a Y39 special order loaded Challenger.

At 66,000 miles the car may have only needed painted.  You are missing Cody's point.  The 70 is more desirable.  It bid to $25,000.  It is in very good condition.  Your car needs restored.  It simply is not going to be worth the same money. I agree with not giving it away.  You will have trouble getting what you are asking in this market; but, not impossible.  Where did you get your figures for the amount of sunroof cars produced?

I am sceptical that the car just needed a paint job. I have found that most cars with low miles need more than a paint job if they are painted for some reason. Not saying that's the case with this 70 Challenger as I have never personally looked at it. But my 71 Challenger shows only 40,000 miles and shows no signs of rolling over, and to me it needs more than just a paint job. I guess you could fix a few things and paint it too without restoring it. But myself would restore it. The point I'm trying to put across is that I cant believe that no one out there is willing to trade for a 71 Challenger even a 318 car for mine, I'm not concerned about the price. I paid 21,000 for the car a few years ago, have bought about 9000.00 worth of parts for the car and was going to include the parts with the car for 21,000.00 considering today's market. I just put the price there because that's the first question everyone asks and I wont take less than that. The only way I would is if I kept all the parts I would take 7000.00 off the price. And as for trading if any of the extra parts come with the car will depend on the car your trading for mine. So 14,000.00 without any of the new parts.

If you are going to finish it, start a restoration thread.  We love to see the cars being redone.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Well I have found a car I would trade my Challenger for. So if any of you are interested in getting a deal on my car, they want 9500.00 or best offer for the one I want. So you buy the one I would trade for and you can have mine for it. So the cheaper you buy the one I want the better the deal you get on mine.

Really no takers....what the hell guys is there no interest in a loaded sunroof Challenger for like 12,000.00 I just cant believe this... Well I just might try ebay or just keep the darn thing. This one sold on Ebay for 17,000.00 and it looks a lot worse for wear than the one I have, I know that its a FC7 R/T but still.

Do you have any more pictures of the car? Liek to see the sides (quarters, fenders, rear view). Is the engine taken apart or still intact? Where are you located?

If I had a quarter for every picture I posted or emailed out I would have enough to restore this car completely... If you are serious about it send me an email and I will send what ever pictures you would like to see but only if your seriously interested. The engine is together and I have a rebuilt trans for the car. I'm in Alberta Canada but if you look on my profile it says where I live.

If you would have out this car up before a dumped a bunch of money on mine a couple years ba k. I would a e been all over it.    :bricks1:    I think you started advertising it when I was in mine really deep. Good luck with it. I hope you keep it or someone restores it back to original.   And the plum crazy chally is a 70 and was a show room car.   It was close by me. I knew someone that use to own it. It was the real deal.
