newbie status

Hello mopar people:
I'm b8fish and I'm pumped about this forum. I own a 1972 340 'Cuda. I bought the car in 1982 and drove it till 1985. since then I have been dragging this car around to my many different homes patiently waiting for the metal required to restore this Canadian car. I wanted to do a restoration but the mice decided to mulch my build sheet and relocate it in my headliner. I painstakingly glued it back together but not all of it was there. O.K. restomod it is then. The original 340 got a roller cam and lifters, eagle rods, arp bolts and alot of other things. The body got XV suspension, stiffening and front brake kits. The back axle got a stainless disc brake kit and 4:11's. The 727 got a gearvendor under/overdrive to compensate fot the gearset so I can still drive on the highway. It is about driving the car after all isn't it? The only stock metal left in this car is the hunk of floor under the back seat, the roof, the rocker panels and the front frame rails. I understand there is a section on this forum to post the rebuild. I took around 300 pic's of the resto and hope to post them there. Here's a little snack of where I am in the build. Shy of the prep and paint, I did all this on my own with the help of some good people and friends.

Welcome to the site. I've been dragging my car around the US for years. I sometimes think it has more non-running miles than running miles

Welcome to the site! You say it's a Canadian car; and are you a Canadian?  There's a few of us on here and I'm into my Challenger about as heavy as you are yours. God give us the strength! LOL

Hey JimiNick:

Yeah, I,m a Canadian. I reside in the muskokas. Restoring a Canadian mopar is definitly a labour of something or other. When I do this again, I'm gonna re-evaluate "sentimental value". lol

Thanks hooD and all you guys for checkin' out my ride and the compliments. If your out there Brads70, your in my neighborhood.
Muskokas. Lots of twisty roads to test out that XV suspension. Lots of deer too so I gotta keep my head up around the corners.
