need help identifying mystery parts
« on: September 20, 2012 - 12:57:04 AM »
Hello everyone!
Installing a new antenna cable in the '70 challenger and found this long orange wire coiled up in the passenger side kick panel (comes from under the dash). Any idea what it goes/went to?
pic #1

Also what is this? (see pics) and where does it mount under the dash?? Cannot see a spot to attach.
pic #2 & #3
tired of it hanging and bangin. :poopoke:
probably easy questions for the experts here.

Sorry..please put your left ear on your left shoulder to view pics correctly :-)

Pic#1 - That's the wire that goes to the center console light. There should be a bulb socket on it's end if someone didn't cut it off, I can't see from that pic.

Pic#2&3 - I looked in my '70 service manual and found a plug with a black, red & light green wire going to it. According to the manual it's the headlight delay relay. I have no idea where it mounts though.

Scroll to the right. Hopefully someone can tell you where that relay mounts.

That makes sense! My car was converted from a console auto to a console 4-speed...so no light (or wire) currently needed!

that feature works!

Scroll to the right. Hopefully someone can tell you where that relay mounts.

Anyone have an idea where it mounts??

Thanks JB!!! :ylsuper:
