Edelbrock 1407 to stock 5/16" fuel line
« on: September 23, 2012 - 06:33:14 PM »
I recently bought an Edelbrock 1407 carb.Is it possible to hook up the stock 5/16" fuel line to it?What adapter would I need to go from the -06 ORB(?) to a -05 JIC(?).The stock fuel line has the 5/16" male flare end.

You're unlikely to find a pre-bent hard fuel line that's going to fit exactly.  If you want to use a hard fuel line, not a bad idea but most of us are lazy and just use a section of rubber fuel line to bridge any gap, you'll need to buy a straight section of copper line & bend it up.  You'll need to buy or borrow a tube bender & flaring tool set and either cut off & re-use the stock fittings or buy a couple of those.  Its really not that difficult to bend and you could use the stock line to copy the lower section at least.  This is a project that you can do yourself, just go slow and do it right.

what's the thread on the o-ring base?  JIC and SAE are different.  JIC is 9/16-18 and SAE is 5/8-18.

I'm making my own feed tube for my dual feed holley because of the 3/8 to 5/16 "issue"
