Exhaust bolts into the water jacket
« on: September 23, 2012 - 10:46:29 PM »
Hey all. The 4 end exhaust bolts are leaking coolant. 1 of the 4 was very corroded so I had to drill/tap to the next size threads. I've been researching and found a number of solutions for sealing these up but I thought I'd ask here as well before I get started. Which sealant works best? Should I use teflon tape along with the sealant? Is there any "best" procedure? I'don't really want to take it too far apart.

Passenger side is using bolts instead of studs. Driver's side has studs on the 3 rear connections and bolts for the rest. If this makes any difference.

Thanks again.
