Black on black stripes.
« on: September 24, 2012 - 03:40:06 PM »
So the new 2013 SRT8 arrived, I ordered it black with flat black stripes. When it arrived, it had the silver stripes. Apparently this wasn't an option for the 2013. So, the dealer has agreed to remove the silver stripes and replace them with the flat black. Any one have pictures posted of black on black???? I'd be curious to see them. The ones I have seen look great but the picture quality is poor. Any help/ advice is appreciated.
Thanks

If the interior is grey then I would keep the factory grey strip or silver, just so you know. :smokin: :dogpile:

They call it charcoal grey, but it's very dark and trimmed in black leather. The kick panels, inside doors, carpet and everything else is black. Just don't like the silver. For one, it sticks out like a sore thumb, secondly, every black srt defaults to silver stripes. I also see that paint scheme on Dodge trucks.

Trust me, In a year or two someone will break the codes and I'll add the supercharger. Don't expect to put a lot of miles on it. Not a daily driver but sure fun!!!

Last time I put it on the dyno it was around a million, but it wasn't broken in yet. You sound like an angry man??? Are you compensating for something??

And this all started because someone wanted a black stripe on their car? Really? Can't we all just agree to disagree and let it go at that?  ???

Don't know about your couple year theory for breaking the code as I am told that even the 5.7 Rams can't be programmed 2010 and up due to the use of rolling codes. They could be telling lies though (performance shop). And I agree black on black.
