70 Challenger Hardtop - Drip Rail (back most point)

I am in the process of reinstalling all my stainless trim.   I have had my rear quarters replaced almost 4 years ago now.   When reinstalling the drip rail, it now comes tight at the bottom.   I am wondering if my previous body man made a few changes that won't allow the water to spill out the back.   

Can someone attach a picture of the correct factory look??  It is the furthest point back where the drip rail meets the horizontal line of the window and body that I am after.    Many thanks!!

The wide, flat stainless trim on our Challenger goes right down into the corner of the roof and quarter.  The roof rail ends about 3/4" above the quarter panel, but the stainless drip rail covering it continues straight, so there is a gap where water can run out (if any of this makes sense).

Thanks Guys ...   Does the end of the trim actually touch the paint??   I would expect not?   

The channel in behind and above on mine seems to taper to flat.   At first, I thought that the trim was in too close to the body, but I was reusing the original holes from the factory.  Then I thought that the channel should continue all the way to the horizontal piece below the window.   Perhaps it is sitting higher or further out due to the 3/4 rear quarter panel and the join that was made?  The seam is along the edge where the crease is along the outside of the trunk and right up to the door opening.

Any thoughts .... given the above?
