that's what the mechanic thought as well. Spark plugs and wires were changed at 75k as ford recommends so he figured it was the coil pack

I've use Lucas oil injector cleaner in my 2006 Honda Civic. It smooths out the engine, and I get a small bump in gas mileage. I run 3 oz through about ever 3rd or 4th tank.
That said, does sound like some sort of ignition problem.
