wide windshield stainless
« on: October 01, 2012 - 10:42:15 PM »
Like a lot of cars, the wide stainless moulding isn't held tight to the glass in a couple spots.  What is everyone using to fix this?  I've got strip caulk but I doubt that will hold it.  I've got clear silicone and black seam sealer.  I'm thinking a couple small beads of seam sealer behind the trim.  I can wedge something between the trim and the back of the hood to hold it inplace until it dries.  Any suggestions on what to use as a wedge that won't damage anything?

I have had to do exactly that with several pontiacs.
Seam sealer, wedge, wait for dry time.
Seems like there should be something better than this.
