To test the relay b4 you put it in, with a couple jumper wires, connect the -ve of the battery to the brown terminal, and the +ve of the battery to the yellow terminal. It should 'click'.

Sorry about the Scott.  :grinno:

I have been dealing with some family issues, so I didn't get a chance to work on it until yesterday.

The new Relay did the trick, she turns over now.  :clapping:

Thanks for everyones help.  :2thumbs:

By the way, keep your eyes peeled on ebay for clutch switches. I found one for $150 about 6 months ago. It was from a 1970, which means it isn't "correct" for my '73, but it was in near-perfect condition.

I wanted to have it in place for times when someone else, that doesn't know there was no clutch safety, needed to start the car. for instance, when I went to get it aligned. I could just picture the tech accidentally driving the thing through the wall..

it's one of those parts you can do without until you come across a good deal.  And then you can feel good about yourself for not having it jerry rigged. Lol.

I made sure the tech was aware of the clutch situation in my car this past summer when I had my car aligned. I was thinking the same thing as you. Car hitting the wall! Reminded me that i need to take care of that switch. No period correct switch for me though. $300+ is just ridiculous.  :2cents:
