By the way, keep your eyes peeled on ebay for clutch switches. I found one for $150 about 6 months ago. It was from a 1970, which means it isn't "correct" for my '73, but it was in near-perfect condition.
I wanted to have it in place for times when someone else, that doesn't know there was no clutch safety, needed to start the car. for instance, when I went to get it aligned. I could just picture the tech accidentally driving the thing through the wall..
it's one of those parts you can do without until you come across a good deal. And then you can feel good about yourself for not having it jerry rigged. Lol.
