WOW,, very nice shop... thanks for starting this tread.. Half the fun of restoring these cars is gathering all the tools and getting the shop to do it in....

yeah, I'm jelous...  my garage is 10' wide by 20' deep exactly.  it has a 8' wide over head door at one end and a 36" door on the side leading into the house.  With the car in the garage, I can walk all the way around, but can't open any doors (house or car) except for the over head door.  the ceiling height is also only 7'.  I hate the garage that I use, but it atleast it's somthing.

Rnsykes.  That was exactly our situation.  Can you see in my second picture where the firebird vert is?  That was our only workspace before we added the 24' X 40' garage on.

Well i'm a bit jealous, my garage is decent, bout a car & 1/2 each way, but it is mostly dedicated to my air cond. business so I am reduced to this!

Guess at times is is better than being inside! ::)
The tent was added last spring, I need new tie downs, so I'm gonna check out the side kits, but even at 18x20 it has cut way into my "work space"  ;D

Okay let me give you alittle back ground. My wife and I just bought the house about 9 months ago. Moved back to her home town (1800 pop). I love living in a small town.
Any way i went from no garage of any kind to currently having one 24x24 garage and a 20x50 shop plus attached to the shop is a 20X20 garage. The house we bought came with rental property so the tenant gets one stall of the garage that is attached to the shop the other i use to store my lawn equipment and other misc stuff.
The shop use to be a carpenter shop about 20years ago it has been sinced used for cold storage until we bought it. I up dated the wiring to a seperate 100 amp service (has its own address) next on the agenda is lights and some paint. most of the walls are  paneled except what i rmoved when i moved the walk in door. For those of you that read the thread instead of just looking at the pics you probably noticed no over head door. That is coming in march it will be a big sliding door next to the tan shelf (12ft wide). sorry for the acdelco cabniets i got them damaged from work so the price was right. I will get them painted soon..

I actually took some photos last week when I cleaned the garage up & made some room. I had to move cars so I could unload the lifts I got. It forced me to clean & organize some more junk, which is a good thing, so I'll have work space to assemble these things. Here's the right half of the building, it's 36 feet wide, 24-1/2 feet deep on the right, 22-1/2 feet in the center, & steps down to 20-1/2 feet on the left. (Had to do this to clear the property line & septic system.)

Rusty, nice work exspecialy since you have to do it outside..

Oldmopaz, very nice, i wish i had high enough ceiling to get a lift in, i have a bronce that is lifted and will just barely clear the ceiling
