Get ready to cry.....PICS
« on: February 25, 2005 - 04:43:51 PM »
Here are a couple of pictures of that AAR cuda I was talking about before.....Its been sitting in the same place for ages. My father knew of the car from the mid 70s and he said its an automatic and he also said it sat outside rusting in the mid 70s, just like it is today. Anyway, here are those heartbreaking pictures

:dontknow:  Yeh, that jerk needs to be taken to Mopar Court, for sure he'd be found guilty of gross neglect and stupidity. That is one car that deserves to be stolen and removed from it misery, man what some of the guys on this board could collectivley do with that sad but awsome car.  :'( . That is just pure  :bs: !

Cars rotting away? Then you'll really like this one, a '69 RT/SE Charger, automatic converted nicely to a 4 speed. Been off the road since the early 1980's, & it's on tarp number 206. I know the guy who has it, & he's had several other decent cars including a '70 340 Swinger. What scares me, is he dismantled the Swinger, & left it in the driveway to fill up with leaves & the weather. He doesn't have it now, he left it behind when he moved 8 years ago.

That just breaks my little heart.  They need to have a show called "Mopar Cops", similar to the "Animal Cops" who go and save animals from neglectful owners.

Watched a 1969.5 6bbl Super Bee rot away in a driveway over a 20 year period or so. also a 1969 GTS 340 went the same way in a backyard. A friend sold his 1969 runner to a guy who also parked it for 15 years or so and it rotted to nothing. None of these cars could be bought or parted from the owners. All were going to "Fix 'er up." They are long gone, but the memory lingers.

Here's another one of the RT/SE Charger. Would you believe the guy who has this has paid $30 every month for the last 3 years to park it where it sits/sinks? I tried to buy it from the previous owner when it was still only a rotted POS & not what it is now, but he wouldn't sell it to me. He knew I was planning a Charger convertible project & was upset that I might use his car & wouldn't "restore" it. Like it has a chance to ever see the road again with the guy who has it now? When I looked it over 10 years ago, there wasn't one panel or frame rail on the car that wasn't rotted. It came with lots of replacement parts, which is what I really wanted, but this one will still needs another car to fix it.
