Everytime I hear these stories I almost break down and cry.  What I don't get is why they leave them outside rotting away. I know where theres a 70 RT Challenger sitting under a tree rotting away and the guy has a garage with nothing but junk in it. It almost makes you wonder if they enjoy watching these cars rot.

Yeah, I dont mind them not being restored and sitting in a garage somewhere, but when I see them outside rotting away, it pisses me off. I know of this AAR, a 71 challenger, a lil' red, a 68 roadrunner, a 68 bee, and a bunch of darts that all have been sitting outside for years. Most of these cars I have asked the owners if they are willing to sell and all of them say "im gonna restore it soon".......I guess "soon" means never......

After I saved my Super Bee from the junk yard, it sat on my parants drive way (in SoCal) for many years.
People would ask'em if it was for sale. I wasn't willing to because I wanted to restore it, bla bla.

Well, I decided it would be ten years untill I would get to it. So out of Mopar love I sold it to save it again.

It's the right thing to do.  :patriot:

No one truly knows why these people let these cars rot away.Could it be that it was a close relatives car and that person passed away? There are people who used to cut up six cylinder cars, who are probably reading this and justifying thier own actions by saying that it wasn't  a high dollar car. These people have hurt the hobby more than anyone else, because those cars don't even exist anymore. It's now that they are getting hard to find that more true diehard car people  are taking it as a personal slap in the face .  If you are going to condemn these people for letting these cars rot away, just make sure your own closet is free from scrutiny.

I have asked about them personally two times and got the same story that they are NOT foresale!!!! Its just a shame. All are 340 cars and seem to be complete.  :stomp: :stomp:

So if they haven't touched these cars in that many years, what makes them think that they will get to it anytime soon?!? Just let someone who actually cares about these cars to own them!

That's exactly my story 98.5% of the time! :madvibe:
I've watched this 68 R/T for going on 21 years now...see the garage behind it? Yup, full of junk & the Charger sits outside, just feet away from the garage.

Just found this one last year...

I've known of this 67 SS Cramaro for about 5 years...

i often wonder if the days of good deals are gone.  i have no money for the 20, 30, 40 thousand dollar mopars, but i wonder if you bring a thousand to a guys house and that has a car sitting like that, what would happen?
