Newb from Lawton OK
« on: October 11, 2012 - 04:05:46 PM »
Hi everyone.. Im Travis.. I just found this forum today but I have several years under my belt with the late model Mopars. I own a 2009 R/T Challenger and have done several mods to it, both bling and power. Most recent I put the Cam from the 6.4 Hemi and a new set of ported and polished heads on it. Not sure how much HP gian yet but it sure feel alot better.. Going to the Dyno on Dec 1st. Here are a few pics of the Challenger. I also just purchased a 2012 SuperBee Charger.. I am loving the power that the 392 Hemi puts out.

Or Not 2B-
Welcome
It’s nice to have another Okie here.
Sinister; yes, that’s a very good description of your Chally.  I like it  :ylsuper:.

Your intro says Lawton.  Are you stationed at the Army base there or you a real Okie?
OKC has several good car events throughout the year.  Unfortunately, the car season is all but over.

Looking online, next weekend, 18-20 Oct, is the big swap meet at Chickasha fairgrounds in Chickasha.  It’s worth going to.

I the spring there’s a Mopar Show in Midwest City, the Muscle Car Ranch in Chickasha has a big swap meet, and one of my favorites is the South West National Hot Rods show at the OKC Fairgrounds.  I’ll post invite next year as info comes available.

All that being, again, welcome

Thanks for the welcome. I retired from the Army in 2006 and set up camp in Lawton, my wife is from here and since she followed me around for 22 years I figured we can hang out here for awhile.. the Government job helped alot too. . Yeah there are quite a few cool shows throughout the year around here. A really good one this weekend in Medicine Park with some good payouts. 600 bucks for best in show and I think its 100 and a plaque for all other classes.
