Looks like a great project.  That should be a beautiful car when you are complete.

I know little to nothing about the A66.  Just what I've read on a quick search on google.

Was argent offered as a grill finish on models other than SE and A66 models?

Was argent used on the tail panel of the A66, and if not, what finish was applied?

Looking forward to your updates on the project.

If the vin# starts JH23H0 it is an A66 car, congratulations. I think the build #'s were 3771 auto and 2819 four speed cars, and well worth restoring instead of modifying.

Thought I would chime in on my favorite subject, A66 Cars.  All 1970 340 H engine code Challengers were A66 performance package cars.

Also, here are some production number links;

yeah, think the car deserves a factory style rebuild
someone put headers on it years ago, but I like they
way they came off the showroom myself.  thanks guys.

Az-Mopar I hope your able to get the fender tag as I’m told most LA cars didn’t have build sheets in them, I have looked everywhere in mine. Based on your vin# yours is later build than my LA built A66 car, #112875 10/16/1969.

Great news.  Post it up when you get it.  Always cool to see the options these cars came with

   Model Code                          JH23
                                             8 cyl
   Number Produced                 38091

Tag Code   Color Name
EB3           Light Blue Metallic             3.5
EB5           Bright Blue Metallic             9.6

FF4           Light Green Metallic             7.5
EF8           Dark Green Metallic             7.4
FJ5           Sub Lime                             4.1
EK2           Go Mango                             4.4
FK5           Dark Burnt Orange Met.   10.1
BL1           Beige                             1.6
FT6           Dark Tan Metallic             3.6
EV2           Hemi Orange                     3.5
EW1           White                             4.2
TX9           Black                             1.2
FY1           Top Banana                     6.1
DY3           Cream                             2.6
FY4           Light Gold Metallic             3.4
FJ6           Green Go                             0.5
FM3           Panther Pink                     0.7
VO2           Two-tone                              2
999           Custom Order

Roofs                          JH23
                             8 cyl
V1X   Black Vinyl           40
V1W   White Vinyl           20.6
V1F   Green Vinyl           6
V1G   Gator Grain Vinyl   2.5

Here are the percentages by color for all JH23 V8 cars in 1970.  So if the ratio holds for the 340 cars, which is hard to say, there were some 83 A66 Auto Hemi Orange cars.  I can't tell if that is Hemi orange or Go Mango, if it is EK2 may be around 104 A66 Auto cars.  Again, there are no exact numbers only ratios of all JH23 V8's, so there is no way to know for sure.

Either way way cool.  Congrats.  :ylsuper:
