Besides the outrageous asking price...

Could you even get an overhead console if you ordered an AAR?    :dunno:

I was sure that was the case but when people ordered one of the interior packages, the overhead was included. Forgot which option/package it is.

I believe you are right that the leather interior option included the overhead console so it should be possible to get a an AAR with it but I have never seen one

Apparently it was Tan Leather Buckets that got you the overhead console outside the Grande Coupe

Either way, the overhead console was available in the 'Cuda. It was under option C26, but with the leather interior option in 1970 only. If your Cuda had interior trim code PRX followed by either another letter or number, it had this type of interior then. The overhead console headliner was part of the leather interior package. I have a picture of a fender tag from an AAR showing it had the optional interior under code PRX & C26. I'll find it & post it here for all to see. (Whats cool about it is its a fender tag from an AAR that had leather interior overhead console & column shifter - NO floor console!

Here's yet another one, an AAR with the overhead console in it (look closer at the tags, they are kinda rough) I have LOTS of fender tag pictures of E-body cars over the years!

THese are being repoped. A guy in Illinios is doing them both in fiberglass, the console & the headliner. I seen them at the Nats & at Monster MOpar in Indy. Headliner is almost $500 & I don't know the console price. He has an add in moparcollectorsguide & I think he's on moparts as well. I thought I seen it as seheadliners.com but I could be wrong

Thanks a lot I remember them from the nags and even took their card for the headliner but didn't know about the consoles http://www.seheadliners.com/.  But I guess it makes sense they would make both lol
