Wiper motor rebuild

Who is a good source to rebuild my 3 speed wiper motor?
I think it needs to be rebuilt because it seems to not work the wipers very fast and it seems to have a tough time parking the wipers properly.

Haven't made it yet...seems I'm always building right up to Carlisle and never get the chance to go?  Maybe this next time, I'm hoping to have some inventory to take with this next year

Ok, maybe when we get closer you will have a better idea if your going. I might need a 2 speed wiper motor. It doesn't return to park. Stays about 2" up?

Carlisle would be a long haul for you, but I would hope it would be worth it.

Let me ask you, as an E-Body owner, are the same wiper motors used on A-Bodies, B-Bodies, etc? I ask because this would greatly expand your market as well as my knowledge of wiper motors.   

I will sadly confess that I bought a wiper motor from a company that is no longer in business, and paid too much...But it doesn't compare to what you do in appearance.

I have one that I could send along with the one I need restored.
Both in good shape. 70-71's.

Brad are you sure it's a concealed unit?  It's been on the car and now it doesn't park in the correct position?  Shoot me an email or something

Depends on that the core is Topcat, condition, etc.  I normally request photos before I commit to a price...don't mean to sound flip but I've been burned a time or two (ok maybe a few more than that even  LOL) on cores sight unseen.

Part numbers are different on the A/B and C and E body motors, everything else builds the same except length of wiring harness, bulkhead connector and on some motors the wiring into the bulkhead connector in the earlier motors.  In 72 the B body components went to E body components and then the B and E body cars use the same wiper motors.  Any wiper motor can be used on any body style if you make a few tweaks.  Some people don't care about part number and date code and stuff so I'll pull any part number/date code off the shelf and build if they don't have preferences on staying factory correct.

When I get real ambitious and the weather is cool I'll grind the part numbers and date codes off cylinders so I can build for A/B, C or E and there's no PN to give it away, just a nice pretty cylinder, a "mystery cylinder" that can be used for any build if the owner doesn't care about PN/date code.  During the heat this past summer that grinding stuff was for the birds in 97 degree heat and 80% humidity, you'll fall out doing that extra step

I have no idea what  is on the car. It was always this way since I've owned it? Is there a ID # on it somewhere I could get to help you know if it's even for an e-body?

( we have been sending PM's back and forth, just thought someone else might find this usefull?)

The only way to tell is to remove the cylinder and the armiture.  If one of the three brushes is grounded to the case its non concealed.  That's the only way I know how to tell, so looking at it visually....not so much

I rebuilt my own 3 speed wiper motor.
Thanks to Kim supplying the kit. wiring harness.
