Part out of a Rallye Guage Speedometer Wanted
« on: October 17, 2012 - 10:04:15 PM »
So my guages are sitting at Hayward Auto Instruments for 3 weeks now.

All I need is the plastic worm gear that drives both the milage odometer and the trip odometer off the cable. They're having a tough time finding one. (70-74 Rallye Gauge)

The speedometer otherwise is in excellent condition.
Once I have it, I can start putting my dash back together.

So if you or know of anyone with a Rallye guage speedometer that's in bad shape let me know.
All I need is the plastic worm gear thats behind the numbers.

my phone number is: 5106041647

I really don't know.

Let's see what ends up with Trouble and if that doesn't come thru for whatever reason; go see if yours is a match.

Sounds good, maybe a picture would help ID if they are the same?

As long as the numbers both turn (if possible) by putting something into the input where the male end of the cable goes; should indicate that the worm gear is still good. You have to go kinda slow so as not to vibrate and cause it to break.

Hayward Auto said to me today they have a possible on one and they would call back but never did.

Nope they are different because they drive two different things: odometer and the trip odometer.
