PRW I usually find on Ebay or you can call Barry in Red Deer , he can get them too , Probably want the 1.5 ratio .
 Smith Bros will be a custom fit , you need to measure everything once it is together & custom order them , have the spring pressure too as they use different wall tubing to match the spring pressure , it will take 4-5 day to gt them in Canada .
 Sorry about the never ending winter , this is exactly why I moved south , It killed me waiting 9 months for a week of bad summer . It has been hotter than normal here , everyday is 32-33* C the last 2 weeks it has been 36 - 37 *C .... Still loving it here  :2thumbs:

I'd be very interested in your HP/TQ numbers if you get if you put it on a dyno once its done.  I'm having second thoughts on my goals for the Roadrunner's rebuild maybe going for more of a manageable driver than termpermental racecar motor, but hopefully still getting 525-550 crank horsepower & around the same for torque.  I figure a 512 stroker could get this fairly easily without resorting to super high compression, radical cam, etc.

I am almost putting down those numbers with a mild 451.

I'm trying to be more conservative in my power goals to keep things driveable and long-term dependable.  My original goals were nothing less than 600+ HP & TQ but I'm starting to rethink what I want out of the car at this stage of my life.  It's never going to be the fastest car in town like it was in high school and I'm OK with that.  That said, if I can still get a manageable 550-600 HP/TQ out of the 512 I would not complain.  I asked in another thread what was possible with stock HP exhaust manifolds and it seems like there is some disagreement on whether I could still meet my goals without headers.  If I could get 500+ HP/TQ out of a stock appearing 512 six pack motor I just don't see how that could be bad!

Sounds like we have similar goals.  Basically I'm going for a 70's period correct Day Two restoration.  I'm going to go headers, it had them when I bought the car in 1974 so I'm not sure why I was so interested in going back to 'totally stock' appearing.  Intake will be a 70's correct Direct Connection sixpack intake & carbs, painted stealth heads, probably 440source 512 stroker kit, the rest of the parts to be determined.  Definitely going with the 6 qt Hemi pan, too.

Thanks Chryco, I'll give it a look.  I just ordered CNC'd Stealth heads so thats a given at this point so looks like I should reach my more conservative goals easily enough.  Low maintenance, good street manners are equally important to max HP/TQ at this point in my life.  I can go fairly conservative and still way outdo the near race 383 I ran originally in the car.

Usually when modifying a motor to this level folks tend to:
a) Use a high pressure oil pump
b) Use a larger capacity oil pan

Depending on the lift you are desiring you may need to get tall valve covers. For example, I went 1.6 roller Harlands and had to get tall valve covers for clearance.

Most stroker kits up to 512 in the 440 will clear the oil pick up ok , the windage tray has to be a deeper version & they will clear the bottom of the bores with minor clearancing . Many of the roller rockers fit easily under stock covers but not all do , I have the PRW stainless rockers in a 1.6 ratio & stock covers

I can see if I can find some pix of my chall , 440 / 512 , ported iron heads , Lunati Solid cam 612 lift 284 gross duration /250 @ .050 making roughly 700 ft lb & 600 hp gross / 400 rwhp /460 ft lbs at the rear tires in a completely stock looking engine , stock oil pan & valve covers , everything looks completely stock maybe not quite to your standards as I used generic hoses & worm clamps , six pack intake & carbs but I used the full mechanical carbs which still allow 950 CFM without aftermarket carb & intake . I basically copied the 512 build listed here which was dynode on a Mustang dyno , the only compromise was the iron manifolds instead of headers so I would lose maybe 30 hp there it will hold over 400 ft lbs tq from 2200 -5200 rpm & the power is all in by 5500 rpm
