Well, oval track springs aren't designed for launching but are designed rather for rolling into the throttle while the car is moving. Launching is why the super stock springs were developed so you are cross breeding designed functions. Similarly, the snubber coming up and hitting the floor is preventing the wrap up that would occur without it, so it is doing its job.
You can address this a couple of ways without going to a cal-trak. Cheapest, quickest, easiest way is to add a length of a leaf, .38 thick, on top of the main leaf, that runs from the axle housing pad to the spring eye, and clamp it in a couple places. This is the approach Hotchkis uses in their modified leaf springs.
The other approach takes a bit more work. Remove and dis-assemble the spring pack. Align the second leaf so its leading edge is centered under the spring eye. re-drill is alignment hole, Align each subsequent leaf so its leading edge is 3" back and re-drill their alignment holes. At the bottom, add a forward facing half leaf to match the alignment of the others. Re-assemble and put three clamps on the front segment, one on the rear. This creates a psuedo SS pack with the oval track main leaf.
