Snake in the pine straw...........

I know this is way off topic......but I hate snakes.........Can someone identify this one I killed this afternoon..??

Yes I believe that is what it was.  They are harmless.

It looks like a african rock head snake,they are on the endangered list.I heard its a 5000.00 fine if you kill this snake.Hope you have a good lawyer! :smokin:

 :iagree:  Looks like a corn snake.  Too bad, the colors look pretty.

I and the neighbors agree........corn snake.......but when you are out walking the pooch and there is a brown snake.........with markings.............it is going away.............one way or the other.......we do have a few lakes around close by and there are water moccasins too.........I ain't taking any chances..........Thanks for the id though..................

Its a corn snake i own a reptile store here in colorado they make good pets

I don't "do" snakes very well. I'm not terrified of them or anything. If I know they are there I'm cool with it.
I was in a wrecking yard once years ago laying on my back under a car pulling a part off when a snake crawled right over my chest. I freaked out ... banged my head about a dozen times trying to get out from under that car as fast as I could. Had a trickle of blood running down my face by the time I got out.
I was so pissed off? I grabbed a bumper laying on the ground and bashed it into pieces.
Turns out it was a garter snake!  :roflsmiley:

Yeah...  I'm kinda one of those that wouldn't hesitate to scream like a b!tch and run like hell....  :)  I wouldn't even have the guts to attack it - I've seen enough things-gone-wrong videos involving snakes...

I will stick to the 4-wheeled, V10 versions, thank you very much!
