New to the site...production # questions regarding our 1970 Cuda
« on: October 20, 2012 - 09:23:54 PM »
Hi my name is Lance.  My dad and I have a numbers matching 1970 Cuda 440-6 Pack.  Its Lemon Twist Yellow with a black vinyl top.  We are taking it to the Mecum Auto Auction in Kansas City this coming December and are trying to find out exactly how many were produced with the options it has and color.

Like stated our car has a numbers matching engine and transmission with less than 62,000 miles.  It is Lemon Twist Yellow w/ a black vinyl top, has the 3-speed automatic A727 TorqueFlite transmission, has the track pack with 4.10 rear gears, has the black vinyl seats inside along with the non-rally style dash, it also has the go-wing spoiler on the rear as well as AAR style front spoilers, and it has power steering and power front disc brakes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yeah we love the car but have had it for 17 years and have three 1970 Challengers waiting to be built!!!  One R/T 440-6 PACK 4-speed car, one SE car, and one other we are going to do as a restomod.  We know there were 853 440-6 pack auto Cudas built in 1970.  We are just trying to figure out how many were built in the Y1 Lemon Twist Yellow color and then if possible with the options ours has.

I have seen few sales of Cuda's at Mecums lately as I would say overall I think they may (being generous) have about a 50% sale rate and the others continue on since they don't hit the reserve price. There was a 440-6 pack with 4 speed that sold at Mecums about 3-4 months ago for 67k though.
