Looks great!  Looks like all the " hard yards" have been already travelled! :2thumbs:
Wow so what happened to the owner who brought it this far? Why did it sit 10 years?  Death?

Looks great!  Love the color!

What color is that?  :clueless:  Is it factory?  :dunno:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Here is the back story, PO brought car with him from Cali to Cleveland when he moved his specialty fabrication buisiness. He researched and completed the motor work, had the transmission built In CA as well the paint work (Light Gunmetal Metallic A4) and after the move lost interest (and some small parts?).
I met the PO while racing with NASA and saw the car about seven years ago, I needed a project car early this year and vaguely remembered this Challenger, after discussion and a recon trip we struck the deal.

8 months later...................

Got the heater box in, engine & transmission, driveshaft and dashboard and steering column. Needed some fresh air on a great Fall morning.
Now it's mostly small sh*t..........

Got the Hood installed yesterday, it's alive and heat cycled twice. Later this week after Xmas a trip to Bluegrass muffler and connect the headers to the Pypes exhaust.

Glad its raining otherwise I might be piss'n off the neighbors.....

I remember seeing a new Challenger in the light gunmetal metallic on the dealer's lot and really liking it.  Can't recall ever seeing very many in that color.  Looked it up and see it was 1971-2 only, and not many Challengers sold either of those years so suspect there are very few A4 cars out there.  The color definitely evokes the period.  Looking good on your project car.
