    Proud New Owner of a 1973 Barracuda Project

    Hey everyone,

    I just bought my first Mopar, a 73 Barracuda project.  I've already been doing some homework on here and know this is gonna be a great resource for me to get this beautiful car back on the road.  Ive been looking for a 70-74 Cuda for the last year and finally found what I was looking for, so Im really excited to get started! It's an H code car, but has a 440 in it currently. I'm gonna look at either stoking the 440 or putting a 5.7 in there with a 6 speed manual.

    Thanks guys, I appreciate the warm welcome!  I'm just finishing up with a full restoration on a 1972 Bronco (I don't discriminate, I've currently got a Chevy, Ford, Jeep and Lincoln), so I'm very excited to have a great winter project.  Owning a 70's Barracuda is a dream of mine, so I'll be keeping this one though.  I am hoping to take delivery of the car by Friday, so I'll get some more pictures up then!

    I had a Cuda just like that one 20 years ago, had it painted white and those exact rims, blue interior with A/C.

    1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

    Just decoded my vin, here are the results.  Does anyone know what the production numbers are based on colors? This car is bronze with a white vinyl top and I was just curious how many there might have been with this color combo.  I cant find any pictures with these colors, so I'm not sure if I'm gonna bring the car back to original or just go with a different color. Haha I have plenty of body work to do, so no rush but I always like getting ahead of myself.

    Those are the paint codes.   There are a few different shades of brown/honey/gold that might be "Bronze"

    The fender tag will contain the actual color code.
