Too expensive and time consuming, and want to keep this first place Mopar Nats winner as "original" as possible.  But it seems Yearone does have the billet 17" "Rallye" wheels that use the original center caps and lug nuts I have, but they are $650 each, ouch!

if they take the time to check what thread the studs are. thats where my blood pressure would start rising sharply! studs are like $2.00 a piece and if your buying new lugs anyway then thats a wash. the wheels are $220 a piece https://www.yearone.com/Product/DisplayProduct/520735

I saw these wheels at SEMA last week. What an amazing wheel and reasonably priced. I will definitely be ordering a set for my Challenger, 8's for the front and 9's for the rear!

Here's the ones I'm looking at, that use the original Rallye wheel lug nuts (LH and RH) and center cap I have already.

I'm looking at these for driving, not shows, if you change the wheels you can always put the originals back on, if you change the studs they are no longer original as delivered like Mopar Nats wants.  It's an irreversible alteration/mod you will lose points on, wheels are not

Does anyone know whether the 8" on front & 9" on back will fit with no suspension or body mods such as offset leaf springs or rolling the lip of the fender, etc.?  And what tire size is everyone thinking about using for this 8"/9" wheel combo?  Looks wise I'm very happy with my 15" rallyes but when I start upgrading the suspension I suspect upgrading to performance rubber is going to be the logical next step.

8" up front and 9" in back will be fine with the year one rims.  I like 245/45s on the 8" and 275/40s on the 9"  I've run both combo's at all 4 corners of my stock challenger.  The 9" rub in the front without upgrading the suspension.

Initial feedback on the 17" Magnum quality has been very positive, so hopefully that is a good indication of we can expect on the Rallyes. I definitely think the styling on these scaled up better than the Magnums did.

Compared to the prices of the other larger than stock Rallye replicas on the market, these are very reasonable. Credit the one piece cast construction (and overseas manufacturing). In fact, they are priced competitive to the 15" reproductions.

Year One has offered pricing of $699 set on the Magnums. It would be nice to see that price on the Rallyes.

Haven't seen a weight number on these. Magnums run 26 lbs and 28 lbs on the 17x8 and 17x9, respectively. Not light, but fully dressed with tires that will be around 55 lbs, very close to that of steel 15" Rallyes. A 15x8 Rallye with a 275-60-15, cap, and trim ring is about 58 lbs.

Looks like factory lug nuts won't work, but centre caps will.


Wouldn't mind seeing a decent profile picture of these on a car. I've been considering 17" Magnums for a while, but I'd prefer Rallyes. Unfortunately every other 17" Chrysler Rallye I've seen has looked hideous.

Really? Cool! Lessee... that still puts me about.... 694 bucks short at the moment... plus tires :icon16: Going to have to hold off a few months before I could pull the trigger.

You're right, they do not have any in stock yet. I'm lucky enough to live about a ½ hour from Year One's headquarters.
I went over to get a good look at the wheels, then I ordered a set...8" in front, 9" out back.  :bigsmile:

I was told they're probably a few weeks out...

8" up front and 9" in back will be fine with the year one rims.  I like 245/45s on the 8" and 275/40s on the 9"  I've run both combo's at all 4 corners of my stock challenger.  The 9" rub in the front without upgrading the suspension.

17x9's with 5" backspace should fit all the way around. That's what I've got on my my Challenger, with 275/40/17's on all 4. I do have a 1" relocation with a B body rear, but I don't think its absolutely necessary for those, I've got over an inch to the springs AND the wheel openings. With a stock rear and no relocation I would guess that you'd be pretty much maxed out, but they should fit.

In the front the only thing I think you'd need is a modern alignment (negative camber) and maybe offset bushings. I have Hotchkiss UCA's, but they don't add any clearance anywhere. I did have some slight rubbing initially on the passenger side fender at the top of the wheel arch, but I increased my camber to -.9 degrees and clear just fine now. It's tight for sure, so it would come down to factory tolerances. I'd bet most cars would clear with a little negative camber, some might require a little more (like mine). The hotchkiss UCA's and 11 3/4" rotors are the only mods I have in the front now, stock spindles and lca's.
