Two lanes of blacktop, fall foliage and an E-Body
« on: October 24, 2012 - 04:41:06 PM »

Took the Challenger out for what could be the last rip of the year, 75 and sunny, doesn't get much better :)

Hope everyone gets a chance for one more  :burnout: before the weather turns!

Great picture. Too bad you couldn't make a video of the trip.

I plan to take mine out Friday, but the weather is taking a dump after that. So this might be my last ride also.    :crying:

Wish I had more time to do that today...maybe the weather will hold out a few more days.  I snapped several right in a row but I didn't like the construction equipment...still nice pictures!

Ya great time of the year. Nice colours, cool temps so you never have to worry about overheating. I went for a rip on Monday , did 114 miles . Had a great time!

Well I had good intentions of taking the car out and snapping a few photos, but about midway to the park, my oil pressure gauge dropped to "L".

After a quick investigation, I discovered the wire had worked it's way loose from the sending unit.  I replaced it and headed home.  Somewhere during the ride I lost it again.  I popped the hood, and this time the wire was out of the spade connector.  I cleaned it up, put a new female spade connector on it and got the gauge to work again.

Pretty scary but in the end...just a loose wire.

It was a beautiful day here today 70 something. I had to take the car out for a drive just because there may not be many more this season. Went out on the hwy after adjusting the tranny controler and a few full throttle runs! Gets up to 90-100 mph quick! Leaves have almost all fallen around here but still was a great day!

I had a sending unit go to heaven on me mid-cruise. It's scary seeing your fuel pressure gauge take a dive.   :22yikes:

As long as the engine isn't making an ugly noise, you'll be OK.    :2thumbs:

I need to clean up that connection but everything is okay.  I didn't want to take any chances.  I was like "Oh Sh@#$t!  I just got everything running again!"

I like the pics, especially the fall color against the Gran Coupe's color. I don't like the building in the background, and the shots could really have benefited from a polarizer to cut down the glare from the upper surfaces of the car.
