So what's it worth?
10k no motor or Trans and stripped inside?
Is it a real 340 car?

Yeah, lots of deatails could have been included in the ad.  No VIN, would be nice to actually see pics of the suspension they installed.  Wonder when the last resto on this car was if it ever had one? Looks like a decent driver.  Solid.

Does something look weird the way the front wheels sit?  Looks like they are pushed out a little?

Also, I don't know what they're packages include but I would think that a handling suspension would be lower than the way the car sits as it is... :dunno:

I guess I can understand to some degree why they wuld leav the car semi stripped as the next owner might want to customize it to his/her own liking.

Very interesting. This is the car they used to demo their chassis stiffening system.

Any solid bodied roller '71 Cuda like this is easily worth $15k, but I also notice they don't provide the actual price. The fact that it has a host of XV L2 parts under may actually detract from its value. XV has dropped the price on is Level 2 kit, so I don't think it is really $15k worth of XV suspension. Their front kit is $5500 without brakes and the rear kit is $2000 without brakes, axles, or housing. Even adding the brake kits, $2200 front, $1000 back, plus housing and axles, your still only at $11k.

The nose sits up because it has a plastic engine in it. It'll drop with a real block. Looks like 15" wheels too, which is why there are no brakes on it. 14" rotors won't fit inside a 15" wheel.

Here's your info.

This car was one of our engineering cars when we did all the suspension development, chassis stiffening and a bunch of other stuff.  All of that was covered on Dream Car Garage over an entire season of the TV show and this car was on that extensively.

Car had a full level II suspension front and rear on it, but many pieces were taken off.  As part of the deal we will install all missing pieces and replace some of the pieces we changed over the years as well.  We will also set the K-member up for whaever engine package buyer wants and include all the mounts for the motor.  The car will have a base Level II suspension installed when done, but components can be upgraded to billet pieces or better shocks as buyer desires.

Car has subframe connectors, inner fender braces and lower rad support, which were original protoytpes, but fully functional.

Car is solid, has some chips in the fenders and such from workin with the car, but paint is nice overall.  Some weld through in trunk where upper shock mounted was welded into pan.
Rear axle is 8-3/4, but just has axles in it to move car around.

I believe car was painted etc. in 2005, but we bought it finished.

Car is a real 340 4-speed car.
Here is the fender tag: Fender Tag
Has clean title.

It's a real good car to do a build with.  We always wanted to build it into a full tilt road race/track car with roll cage, racing seats and harnesses, but never had time for that.

Asking price is $33,000 with suspension installed as described.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

If the above is the case, that seems like a steal.

Agreed. Not a steal, but with some negotiating and compromise on the finished product, you might be able to get into it around the mid 20s.

:iagree:  I'd be wondering if there are any cracks/tweaks with it being a test mule? Was it on the 4 post test rig? Seems to me nice driver 71 Cuda's are around 40K ?( E-Bay)  By the time you add a compleate drivetrain to this you will be well over 40 K?

I drove that car before XV got their hands on it.  I do remember it was a solid car, but 33k for what they are showing??  Any one pays anywhere near that isn't checking their calendar to see what year it is.

I don't imagine that plastic motor will hold up under high rpm
