hej,any updates ? i have the same problem(at least i think it is a problem) have you checked the dia on a unused yoke?
No progress lately. Unfortunately, I do not have another yoke to check. I did get a chance to check play in another AAR today and there was none in his. This makes me very suspicious of that area. Have you checked the play in yours?
My problem is very unique. I can run it up to 95 and not feel the vibration at all. But if I push the clutch in (at highway speed) and let it out normally I can usually get the vibration to come back. Getting it to go away again is hit and miss, but usually requires me to push the clutch in at high speed and let it out very slowly. I feel the vibration hard on the clutch pedal, as well as in the seats. I have eliminated several possibilities including clutch assembly, front trans retainer cover, engine, rear end, tires, drive shaft angle (measured and added 2° shims to axle), and probably drive shaft by having it rebalanced (I know, could have balanced it incorrectly). Through process of elimination I am down to only a few things. They include transmission (behind the front bearing), universal joints (although mine are new Spicers), and the tail shaft play.
What I can't understand at this point is why I have so much play between my yoke and the new bushing, but that's where I'm focused next. I just need to find someone who has a spare or at least a measurement so I can compare against mine.
