1973 Grille Trim Ring installation
« on: October 26, 2012 - 01:08:20 PM »
Finally finished restoring my grille on 1973 Barracuda, all in all came out very nice a few blemishes where I did the repair work, my first try at any kind of body work.   I have polish up the chrome trim rings that go around the center fin section, I have the new retaining clips coming today my question is:

Do you place the clips in the grille and push the trim mounting post onto the grille, or do you slide the clips on the and mounting post push it in on the grille. And is there anything else I am missing to install these trim pieces. I have to admit that I am terrified to push on a 40+ year old piece of plastic.

Clips go in the grille first and then push the chrome trim ring on,you'll be fine as the trim goes in pretty easy :2thumbs:
