yes, cuba has tons of cars from the 50's that they have been keeping running with spit and bailing wire since replacement parts are not available.Some amazing mechanical ingenuity down there. Necessity is the mother of invention.
I ran into a guy here in Canada that goes to Cuba every year for holidays. He is always bringing suitcases full of parts for these old cars. I guess over the years he has gotten to know a bunch of locals and helps them out when he can.
