    I run from salt walter spray!!  I don't know how these old cars haven't been reduced to a pile of rust being exposed like that!  And it is a cool picture, the car's color compliments that of the sea & sky.

    I was in Cuba four years ago. There are a lot of that vintage of car there. It's pretty cool. You never know what kind of vehicle you will see on the road next. Due to the embargo, they repair them in ingenius ways.

    yes, cuba has tons of cars from the 50's that they have been keeping running with spit and bailing wire since replacement parts are not available.
    Some amazing mechanical ingenuity down there. Necessity is the mother of invention.

     I ran into a guy here in Canada that goes to Cuba every year for holidays. He is always bringing suitcases full of parts for these old cars. I guess over the years he has gotten to know a bunch of locals and helps them out when he can.

    About 20 years ago I put a wheel for an Acura Legend in my suitcase for my sister as her's was damaged.  Packed my clothes in and around it.

    I wonder if the TSA would allow that now?  Does the guy you know have any issues with that?   :clueless:
