Cool Post! I am very tempted to order a set,(4), of the HQ for my 72 E-Body. A lot of nice features!(Especially for handling and a stiffer spring rate).

I forgot you are in Canada.  I'm in CA.  I wish I could make it, but there is not going to be a trip to Carlisle for me.

I'm interested in your "cast-off" parts as well.  Let me know if you need a home for the Bilsteins...

BTW, I canceled the deal with the steering column...

I am a bit surprised no body has mentioned qa1,s I love em mid range pricing and I have used and abused them for years and I really like the fact I can adjust for the track and back em off for the road.

What ever you end up doing make sure you get the adjustable units,

balance the car and see how well these cars can handle :stirpot:

Just an update. They arrived the 3rd week of January. I have them on my car.

Now only if the weather would co-operate for a test drive.    :stomp:

Nothing a hacksaw couldn't fix.   :naughty:

I had to trim about 1/8" inch off of the eyelets on the rear shocks to get them to fit in the shock towers. Same deal getting the front shocks on. I had to do the same thing with the KYB's that I took off, so maybe the problem is me?    :banghead:

Good to know, thanks!
I had to make the steel tube/bushing for the rear top mounts with the Bilsteins... not a big deal for me as I have the equipment , but for someone else it could be a problem :eek4:

I ended up ordering the fox shocks from hotchkis because the lengths were going to make for a perfect bolt on on the rear to replace my air shocks! Ill be installing them this weekend so ill have a good review I can post here!

My Ridetech shock review...

Much better than stock shocks. I replaced KYB's with these, and although not as stiff, I'm not sure these are worth the price. I'm basing this off 1 drive, so maybe my view will change in the future.   :dunno:

I just installed the Ride Tech non adustable shocks this week-end.

What a pain!

1. The upper bushing has a steel sleeve in it. Included with the shocks are aluminum bushings.
You have to cut out the steel sleeve without injuring the poly bushing.

2. Then I had to "shave down" the aluminum bushings so that the thickness would fit up under inside the shock tower.

So what they're doing is, selling a universal type deal and making it a DIY "you fix the issue"
