a quick search should turn up a number of different threads on this But
with the 74 grille removed you have nothing to mount headlights to so , new fenders or at least headlight buckets welded on , grille & mounts , headlight buckets , shorter bumper brackets from 70-72 & matching bumper , chrome hood lip molding , 70 hood release / latch

I would much rather see a well restored 72-74' E body that a car that was attempted to be converted into a 70-71'.

The differences are monumental and costly to convert.
Example: Especially converting a 72'-74' Barracuda into a 71' Cuda.

You need to do your homework first if you want it right before you attempt the conversion.
The list is pretty big if you really want to go for it and make it look right.

Good luck!
Mike, Fremont, CA.

I have seen the sad face area blacked out like the 70 all the way across the car above the bumper around the headlights etc , that seem to make it look better

The 74 in my avator is blacked out and has headlight covers. Completely changes the look. I still haven't finsihed the work to make the covers automatic, but I never drive it at night anyway.
