The CBO is right. The cuts will get our long term fiscal house in order, but would cause a short term economic stumble that we don't want right now.

In other words, fixing the deficit and debt isn't going to create a job. Keep spending roughly as we are for the short term, wait until things recover, then tighten the belt for the long haul.

You know that's a pretty understandable explanation!

Ya,it may be a simplified explanation but it always seems the middle class get the largest % of the tax burden.

CBO I say it is all hooey!! There is no way in hell we could ever even hope to repay the debt or pay for the unfunded liabilities. It has to be a numbers farce. Total it all up it is over 200 trillion bucks.  :faint:  Sorry Grankids for the next 10 generations. As long as we all pretend it is not a problem or get the real owners of the federal reserve to forgive and forget all that debt they loaned us evrything will be OK.
