Rear window molding clips need replaced
« on: November 10, 2012 - 06:52:08 PM »
Hey guys...need some info.....

I took the cover off the fish today and found that one of the rear window molding clips had let go...no problem, I figured.....just snap it back on.

Well, no such luck.  The clip has fatigued and is flexing in half....about to break.

I picked up a bag of clips at Carlisle, so I have them.

The question is though, can the clips be replaced without removing the back glass?

PLEASE say thay can....LOL...never removed a back glass and to be honest dont want to if I dont have to....

Thanks in advance guys.

should pop right off if they have the studs. Some replacement clips
have a screw holding them in.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

The clips just snap over the stud. Once you get the trim off, clean up any butyl or silicone around the clip and
you'll be able to see what makes it work.
