Anybody have experience/opinions about Cherry Bomb mufflers?
« on: November 11, 2012 - 08:28:46 PM »
Want to switch my "stock" sounding mufflers to ones with slightly more aggressive  sound.  Would like to keep cost down.  I have looked at several brands and wanted your input.  I kind of like the  Cherry Bomb "pro"series mufflers.
Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Thanks
Mike

Cherry bombs suck go with the Magna flows or flowmasters better sound. All cherry bombs will do is get you tickets. I like the 3" Magana flows that are on my 1972 440-6 it has 525HP and cut outs too. I like the low rumble of the Magna flows I hate the crack ogf the Cherry bombs.

I know cherry bomb is making mufflers now too in addition to their glasspacks, but all their stuff is built really cheap.  Flowmasters and magnaflows are expensive, so if u want good sound and cheap cost, look at autozone at the Thrush Welded mufflers, they are about the same price as the cheaper built "turbo" mufflers, the mufflers themselves are only about 30 bucks, and i had a pair of them on a 73 dart sport i used to have with a 360 in it and it sounded pretty damn good, it wasnt a really built motor or anything, just a plain old 360 and i think it sounded as good as my old 72 360 dodge ram i had with dual flowmasters.

But remember you see a lot of cheap muffler laying a long the road. It is better to get a good muffler that will last more than a few years. The cheaper ones rust off right away just to thin of metal. Saves bending up the bottom of the car if they do not fall off. I almost ran off the road fallowing a pickup down the road and the muffler and pipes can out from under it. It rusted off he stopped and picked it up said he was sorry. He said it just got real loud and bang bang it came off. I was driving my Explorer at the time. That is why I do not like cheap mufflers Sorry just me.
